Infinity: The People Leadership Experience

Infinity: People Leadership Experience was a management simulation game I worked on at Experience It. It is designed to help senior managers at companies like GE and others to practice team-building, learn management skills and get personalized feedback on their leadership style and outcomes based on the decisions they made throughout the game. As a game designer, writer and technical liaison on the project, my responsibilities were:

  • Establish the rules of the game
  • Designed core game mechanics and systems
  • Developed game economy
  • Worked on the story, wrote different characters and their conversations
  • Communicated technical requirements with outsource partners

The game is about interacting with a team of employees as their manager. Through branching conversations, the player would get to know their employees and, if they pay close attention, learn how to bring out the best performances. Each employee would come with their own skills and talents; it would be up to the player to maximize that.

I introduced and developed the idea of conversations as the main mechanic for this game. For every character that I created I had to write multiple branching conversation that would unlock, or block, certain options for the player to take, which, in return would affect the employee’s performance. In addition to writing content, I was also tasked with onboarding and teaching new hires on how to use proprietary in-game engine used for the making of the game.
